“Outer Rim” Release & Silver Age Comic Con

Hello, friends…

Whew! I saw Ringo Starr and his All Star Band on Friday and I’m still recovering from the high of that show! What a great evening and so many terrific songs that I actually know! It was so good. If you get a chance to see this band live, do it!

Now, I am excited about both of these book events  and eager to share the information with you.

First, my sequel novel to O’Ceagan’s Legacy is now out and available here on Amazon in both eBook and paperback. This novel picks up where Legacy left off and is an exciting adventure that takes Captain Grania O’Ceagan and her crew to the edge of the galaxy. If you like space stories with a bit of fantasy, this is a must-read!

Next, I will be at the Silver Age Comic Con in Reno Nevada with a booth on Saturday, July 8th from 10 am to 5 pm at the Reno Sparks Convention Center on South Virginia St. This is a fun convention with lots of guests in the comic book and television media from a few decades ago. Also lots of cosplay going on, so come join the fun. I will have books and jewelry items at my booth.  In addition to my books, I will also have some from Angelina Fasano and Brian Cave to sell.

It’s been how long?

Wow! I can’t believe I haven’t made an update in almost six months! While I don’t update frequently, I try to do it more often than this. I hope all of you are staying well during this pandemic. While I am a stay-at-home writer, I have not been as productive as I’d hoped to be during this time.

With smoke blowing in from the California fires, it’s tough to wrap my mind around creative writing or any writing, for that matter. My book that I had planned to release in May or June, it is now delayed until 2021. I’ve gone through three edits on it, but I’m giving it one more pass with my critique partners before I publish, so that is taking time. But I would rather put out a better book than rush it.

So, Splintered Time, the second book in the Time Threads series, is now scheduled for release in the first quarter of 2021. But I do have a gorgeous cover for it, done by the wonderfully talented Barb Hoeter at Coverinked. So, if you haven’t been on my Facebook page and seen it already, that’s it on the right side. I am so thrilled with this cover and I hope you love it as much as I do.

 

Book Giveaways

Once again, I have two books in two separate giveaways on Prolific Works. They are both previews with about one-third of the books in the download and a sale on through September to purchase the books at 50% off, if you want to read the whole book.  Over 40 books are in the Sci-Fi and Fantasy Giveaway while about 30 are in the Heroes, Romance, and Time Travel one. Check out both of them to possibly find some new writers to read.

November’s Nano Project

NaNoWriMo is coming up in November – after doing July’s Camp – and I have my project picked out for it. Incredibly it’s been four years since I released O’Ceagan’s Legacy and the second book is long past due, so I’ve been working on the plot for that and plan to write it in November with an eye to releasing it in toward the end of August 2021. I have a cover picked out that is similar to the original novel and I’ll be posting that about the time I begin writing the book. I love having the cover when I write since I make it the background on my computer screen , and it inspires me throughout the writing.

Book 5 of the Funeral Singer Series is available now!

As of midnight tonight, A Song of Redemption is available for Kindle and paperback. This is the final book of the Funeral Singer series, so to celebrate I am putting all five e-book versions on sale for 99-cents each. That all five books for $4.95 U.S. Canada and overseas are a little higher, but also discounted.  They will be on sale for the next three days, until midnight on October 24.

If you have been waiting for the series to be finished, then now is the time to grab your copies. Come follow the Funeral Singer, Gillian Foster, as she encounters spirits, ghosts, and demons thanks to her unexpected gift.

The new book, A Song of Redemption,  is not yet available on non-Amazon outlets, but the rest of the series is on iBooks, Nook, Kobo, and others. They should be going to the same lower prices on those outlets as well.

New Book Release and Convention Appearance

My latest Funeral Singer book is out and available now at Amazon in both Kindle and paperback! So excited about this third installment in the series. Things are really heating up for the funeral singer now.

Called A Song of Betrayal, the story continues singer Gillian Foster’s interactions with the recently departed in the ethereal cemetery as she confronts a murder victim. Zoe Sarkis’ husband killed her and fled the country. Now, she’s refusing to cross over until he is found and brought to justice. Complicating Gillian’s task of helping Zoe, she is also facing an increasing number of ghoulish figures called shades. Can Gillian help find the missing husband and learn to deal with the shades?

Reno Comic Con

If you’re in the Reno Nevada area, Sands Comic Con is happening this weekend, September 23 & 24. I will be there both days to talk to folks and sign books at the Pynhavyn Press table. Joining me, both at the table and in a panel on Saturday, is Margaret McGaffey Fisk (Steamship Chronicles) who will also be happy to chat and sign books.

Our panel will be at noon and we’ll be discussing Immortality as Seen by Hollywood. This panel excites me as I love talking about how most of the programs that have immortal characters tend to slant it negatively. As a longtime Highlander the Series fan, I’ve definitely had discussions with people on this before. So, if you’re in town, come on down to the Sands and join us in this discussion.
